I heard these children singing on the radio a little while ago, and was very impressed.

I love the sound of The Polyphonic Spree; there seem to be hundreds of them on stage, singing and dancing and playing their instruments with a truly vibrant sense of joy.

(An instrumental version of their song, Light and Day, currently plays behind Jamie Oliver in the current Sainsbury's adverts)

A couple of years ago I was delighted to have the opportunity to see a performance by Bliss. It was a sunny June afternoon in the centre of Brighton, and a free concert was advertised on a sandwich board outside the Friends Meeting House.

The music was beautiful, very pure and clear, very Angelic. It was as if we were all transported to another world, where still and calm pervaded, somewhere magical and full of peace.

Sound is a wonderful way to transform energy. There is a particular chant on this cd that I often use to transform a space;

Having watched the film Rabbit Proof Fence,the true story of a young Aborigine who was removed from her mother to a government institution because she was half European, I was keen to have a copy of the sound-track, which is beautiful and evocative.

I have long been a fan of Peter Gabriel. Here, he uses traditional european and aborigine instruments, animal sounds, and his own haunting voice to create an album that stands alone or serves as a powerful reminder of a wonderful tale of human triumph over adversity.
